Gareth Powell of Acoustic Magazine:
On his debut album, Entropy, Bentley presents us with songs ranging from wistful instrumentals to toe-tapping 60s-style folk rock. Citing influences such as Richard Thompson, Loudon Wainwright and James Taylor, the album displays som excellent playing and showcases Bentleys vocal, which has a sweet, vulnerable quality. On some tracks, Bentley also plays bass organ, tambourine and sleigh bells, taking the songs away from a purely live feel. This is definitely a record to listen to on a hot summer evening. Standout tracks include the driving folk-pop of Hurt You, the epic title track Entropy, and the two instrumental numbers, Instrumental in A-Minor and Instrumental #2.
